You are cordially invited to participate in a homey lecture-performance by Mireya Lucio, celebrating Laura Ingalls Wilder’s 149th birthday - a comparative time capsule over an edible show-and-tell, where we will embark on a reluctant investigation of domestic tasks.
The performance seeks to explore the ways in which domestic roles, actions, and output permeate and co-opt social, economic, historic, and political shifts.
Presented at the Los Angeles Industrial Arts Compound (February 2014) and the Women's Center for Creative Work on (February 2016)
